The City Council passed  a resolution yesterday giving recognition and honoring outgoing City Police Director Sr. Supt. Angelito A. Casimiro for a job well done during his stint.

The resolution cited Casimiro’s invaluable and selfless contribution, support  and leadership of the ZCPO and its people in keeping  the city peaceful.  It was approved by the majority during the legislature’s maiden session for 2016 held at Casa Latino at Paseo del Mar with the State of the City Repor of Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco – Salazar,  District 1 Rep. Celso Lobregat and District 2 Rep. Lilia Macrohon- Nuño.

Casimiro served the city with focus on the peace and development.  His stint would complete two years on January 28, 2016.

The resolution was authored by Councilor Rogelio “Gerky” L. Valesco.

Casimiro is considered a son of the city.  He served the city as a young First Leiutenant after graduating from the Philippine Military Academy in 1988. As a young officer. He served the city at the time of the defunct Regional Command 9 in 1989. As his promotion continued, He became well versed and acquainted with the city  from Juniorship to senior officer.

He  served many positions when RECOM 9 became Police Regional Office 9.

Casimiro was the former Regional  Task Force Police Turista chief, PRO-9 Intelligence Officer for several  Regional Directors. Before he became the ZCPO Director, he was the former Logistic Officer of PRO-3. — Allen Abastillas
