Man shot dead, pal hurt in Recodo gun attack PDF Print E-mail

A 33-year-old man was killed while his companion was wounded in a gun attack in Recodo yesterday morning.
The fatality was identified as Tibing Hamid y Biruah, married. Wounded was Hadji Pattah Swering y Taupan.

Hamid died while undergoing treatment at the Brent Hospital while Swering was confined for treament in the same hospital..
A sketchy report disclosed that Hamid had just arrived from Jolo, Sulu and was accompanied by Swering to Recodo to see a quack doctor when Aldam Hanapi y Sajili of Purok 5, armed with a .45 caliber pistol appeated and opened fire on them near a pawnshop.

Hanapi disappeared amid the crowd while the victims were rushed to the Brent Hospital aboard a garbage truck.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo said the Ayala police led by Supt. Hado Edding conducted a hot pursuit operation but Hanapi was no longer in their residence.

Edding and his men were still on follow-up operation as of press time. — Dan Toribio Jr.
