Two store workers lost P3,000 to a swindler at the Dipolog City public market the other day.

Police identified the victims as KeenaTejas y Rusiana, 20, single, of Fisherman’s Village, Barangay Miputak and Anna May Colarde y Batinggal, 21, married, of Purok Orchids Barangay Gulayon, Dipolog City. Both are sales clerks of Corona Top and Shop Store Inc. located at Bonifacio St., Barangay Barra.

Police said the two workers met with an unidentified man who convinced them to change his coins amounting to P3,000 to change peso bills.

The two again met with the man at the Dipolog City public market wherre they handed to him the P3,000 in bills.

However after the man received the money he immediately left the place and promised the victims to return.

But according to the duo, the man disappeared after taking the P3,000.

The two victims reported the incident to the Dipolog City Police Station for investigation. – Dan Toribio Jr.
