Government troops recovered personal items belonging to an Abu Sayyaf militant in Barangay Bangkal, Patikul, Sulu Monday afternoon.

Brig. Gen. Alan Arojado, chief of the military’s  Joint Task Group, disclosed that troops of the army’s 35th Infantry Battalion led by 1st Lt. Barbosa were on patrol around 4:20 p.m. at the vicinity of Dud-Uwak in Barangay Bangkal when they recovered one radio transceiver with three extra antenna and charger, a set of BDU uniform, a pair of combat shoes, two hammocks, one laminated sack and an unregistered motorcycle.

Arojado said the seized items belongs to Apal Hassan, an active member of the Abu Sayyaf.

Hassan was rreportedly brought to a hospital who was suffering from unknown sickness.

The recovered items were brought to the military camp for proper disposition. — Dan Toribio Jr.
