The proposed military facility in Rio Hondo that will take charge of the security measures in the barangay and the neighboring areas will break ground soon.

Mayor Beng Climaco revealed this, as the national government recently finalized the acquisition of the Mindeva property in Rio Hondo where the military base will be constructed.

The property cost of P50 million was funded by the national government through the Department of National Defense in coordination with the Department of Public Works and Highways.

Mayor Climaco said the groundbreaking ceremony for the project will take place soon with Undersecretary Alexander Pama, who is also the executive director for the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
