The Silsilah Dialogue Movement, in collaboration with the United Nations Interfaith Harmony Partners-Zamboanga, is currently celebrating World Interfaith Harmony Week from February 1-7, 2016.

This year’s celebration carries the theme: Celebrating Harmony: the Wellspring of Hope. The Interfaith Harmony Week celebration help us  to deepen the spirit of  harmony and peace among all peoples of different cultures and religions, primarily the Muslims and the Christians which compose the major groups in Zamboanga City, through dialogue, guided by the principle of love of God and love of neighbor.

Different activities are scheduled every day from February 1-7 by the different institutions and organizations considered as partners in the city,all intended to bring people together to build and rebuild love, friendship, understanding, sensitivity and solidarity with other peoples’ religions and cultures.

The culminating activity will be held at the Celebrity Hall of the Astoria Hotel in the afternoon of the last day where video messages from cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle and Cardinal Orlando Quevedo, from Vatican will be shown. Likewise, a video message from the Vatican will also be shown and a video message and conference from Pakistan by Dr. Muhammad Tahir-Qadri and a reflection of Pope Francis.
