A car mechanic was arrested after he intentionally set a house on fire which also destroyed two other housesin Barangay Boalan last Tuesday night.
Police identified the suspect as Samuel Francisco y Calasa, 43, married.

Investigation disclosed that Francisco was upset when he discovered his cellular phone missing inside their house at past 6 p.m.

Police said that Francisco poured paint tinner on all corners of his house and then lit it.

Fire investigators disclosed that the flames destroyed the entire house and Francisco’s auto automotive repair shop, an Isuzu Elf owned by PO3 Cesar Galvez , a Yamaha motorcycle owned by Nonito Casimiro, both undergoing repair.

The flames also spread to the houses of Orlando Gody and of Sanny Bernardo which was being rented by Analyn Fernando and Patric Parson.
The blaze raged for 30 minutes with no reported casualty.

Francisco was immediately arrested and was taken to the Divisoria Police Station where he was detained pending the filing of arson charge against him in court. — Dan Toribio Jr.
