Philippine National Police Chief  Director General Ricardo  C. Marquez has ordered Supt. Luisito Magnaye,  Zamboanga City Police Office officer-in-charge, and the different police station commanders under to come up with an operational plan and security measures on how to conduct joint operations for the forthcoming May 9, 2016 elections.

During a conference with Zamboanga City police officials on Thursday,  Marquez directed Magnaye to come up with a detailed plan on how to secure each poll precinct together with soldiers of the Task Force Zamboanga under the leadership of  Col. Jovymax  Uy.

Marquez also ordered the different chiefs of police stations in the city to publish or write their cell phone numbers in front of their station so that the public will see it and can help the police thru text messsaging or calling in the fight against lawlessness.

“I-publish niyo na po yan sa harapan ng station ninyo na visible sa mga mamamayan para sila ay makatulong sa inyo. O baka ang mga asawa niyo lang ang nakakaalam sa cellphone number na yan,” Marquez quipped.

Marquez was in Zamboanga City Thursday on his way to Bongao, Tawi-Tawi for a command visit.

In an interview, Marquez told this reporter that he did not bring “grace” for the police here in the Region 9.

“ Nandito ako walang dala na grasya sa mga pulis kundi dala ng disgrasya para sa mga hindi ginagawa ang trabaho nila,” Marquez. — Allen Abastillas
