An employee was shot to death at Sitio Beverly, Barangay Timbabawan, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay last Monday morning.

Police Regional Information Officer Chief Insp. Rogelio Alabata identified the fatality as Reynante Bellocura Sardan, 46, married, of Purok Santol, Gaycon,  Tungawan. He sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Initial investigation disclosed that Sardan was on his way to work in Poblacion, Tungawan, aboard a red Honda XR 125cc motorcycle with plate number, when  he was shot several times by a man armed with an armalite rifle at Sitio Beverly, Timbabawan.

The gunman disappeared when policemen arrived at the crime scene.

Recovered at the crime scene were 16 spent shells of 5.56 caliber (M-16).
