8 persons fall in police ‘big-time’ anti-drug ops PDF Print E-mail

Eight persons were arrested in two separate police operations called “one time, big time” in Labuan and Tumaga.

The operations were carried out on the strength of search warrants issued by the Regional Trial Court.

The first target of operation conducted by policemen of the Labuan Police Station led by Chief Insp. Raymond Sanson backed-up by Task Group Zamboanga troops, resulted in the arrest of Abner Olavidez Alba and his wife Nuraida Olavidez. Confiscated from their possession were three large sachets, four small sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.

The second target of operation, resulted in the arrest of Kalim Sahibul, his wife Saida Sahibul and their son Usman Sahibul. Confiscated from their possession was a sachet of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.

The third target of operation resulted in the arrest of Sattari Tahi who was caught in possession of drug paraphernalia.

The fourth operation resulted in the arrest of Haiba Abdula who was caught in possession of a sachet containing shabu residue.

The seven persons were brought to the Labuan Police Station and were placed under investigation.

Meanwhile, a similar operation was carried out by men of the Sta. Maria Police Station led by Supt. Haywien Salvado and Zamboanga City Public Safety Company led by Supt. ArestonLImus at Dulaca Drive, Uranus Street, Tumaga.

The target of the operation were brothers Mark Lingayan y Enriquez and Reynier Lingayan y Enriquez as stated in the search warrant.

However during the raid, only Mark was caught in their residence. Confiscated from his possession were 24 sachets containing suspected shabu and several drug paraphernalia.

Lingayan was detained at the Sta. Maria Police Station.

All the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination. –Dan Toribio Jr.
