The Association of Barangay Chairman (ABC) is currently conducting drug test among officials of the city’s 98 barangays.

Councilor Jerry S. Perez, ABC president, and chairman of the City Council’s Committee of Peace and Order, said the drug examination is random.

The program started in the barangays of  Tumaga, Guiwan and Tugbungan.

“Este programa ay continua hasta  acaba examina  con el todo opicial del 98 barangays. Este programa dale kame  mira para bonito de amon servicio na maga hente,” said Perez, the city government’s drug czar.

Psaid erez ABC officials are accompanied by a drug testing firm in conducting the random drug test.

Perez confirmed that there are many drug pushers in almost all of the city’s 98 barangays.

“Tiene kame maga miembro del  barangay intelligence network na kada barangay,” Perez said.

Perez’ statement  was in reaction to the pronouncement of City Police Office Officer in Charge Supt. Luisito Magnaye that the drug problem in this city is alarming, affecting almost all 98 barangays of the city. — Allen Abastillas
