The fourth wave of the information caravan for internally displaced persons (IDPs) will kick off today, March 3, at the Masepla II and III transitory sites.

City Mayor Beng Climaco and representatives of member-agencies involved in the recovery initiatives for 2013-siege affected communities and residents of the City will meet with around 900 IDPs representing the families of Masepla II and III to discuss matters pertaining to the ongoing recovery process.

The fourth wave information caravan, dubbed Camp Dialogues, is an initiative of the City Government of Zamboanga together with the Communications Working Group (CWG) and the Asia Foundation. Prior to the conduct of the formal caravan, the CWG initially conducted focus group discussions to collect the baseline information that formed the basis for the present information caravan series

Expected to run for the next two to three weeks of March, the caravan will cover the 12 transitory sites and home-based IDPs.

The schedule of the information caravan is as follows: Masepla I (March 4), Buggoc and Silsillah (March 8), Lupa-lupa and Mariki (March 9), PTSI (March 10), Rio Hondo (March 11), Tulungatung (March 15), Kasanyangan (March 16), Taluksangay (March 17), and home-based IDPs (March 18).
