Budget Wise opened a branch at Suterville, Zamboanga City on Last March 1, 2016. The opening was highlighted by the cutting of ribbon done by District 1 Congressman Celso L. Lobregat.

“Now the people of Suterville and other nearby barangays can shop at Budget Wise with its affordable and reasonable prices, goods and other items that are being offered,” Lobregat said.

It will be recalled that on May 2005, the Toh’s opened the main branch of Budget Wise in Campaner Street. Together with him in that ribbon cutting ceremony was his Vice-Mayor Isabelle Climaco and then lone district Congressman Erbie A. Fabian.

Congressman Lobregat expressed gratitude to the Toh family for continuing to invest in the city of Zamboanga. It will be recalled, that the Toh’s opened Mindpro in 1996. It also shows that malls in Zamboanga didn’t only sprout out now. In fact, Southway opened in 2007 and Gateway in 2008.

After the  September 2013 Zamboanga siege, there were rumors that local businessmen will take a wait and see attitude, while others will no longer invest in Zamboanga City due to security reasons. To counter this, Lobregat launched his advocacy “No Te Vayas de Zamboanga”. Lobregat expressed, that with the opening of Budget Wise Suterville. The Toh’s are strong advocates of “No Te Vayas de Zamboanga”. (Dexter Yap)
