Beng turns over 5.6mm ammos to Zambo police PDF Print E-mail

Mayor Beng Climaco together with Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde on Wednesday turned over a total of 83,999 rounds of 5.6mm caliber ammunitions to the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) through OIC-city police director Supt. Luisito Magnaye.

No less than Interior and Local Government Secretary Senen Sarmiento came over to witness the turnover of bullets to the police as part of the city government’s continued assistance to the local police force.

Mayor Climaco said the city’s assistance to the police is never ending and even mounting as her administration puts high priority on safety and security of Zamboanga and its almost a million residents.

Last week, Climaco also turnover three vehicles for the police stations in the east coast, and very soon another 4x4 vehicles will be turned over to the police.

Also present during the turnover of ammos to the ZCPO were Regional Police Director Chief Supt. Miguel Antonio, DILG Regional Director Abutasil, DILG-City Director Moh. Taha S. Arakama, and other police and city officials.

Ongoing in the construction of P30-million ZCPO building, almost completed, at the back of City Hall.

As this developed, Sec. Sarmiento thanked Mayor Climac and the city government for its continued and unparalleled support to the police force in Zamboanga.

Similarly, the city government is also assisting the logistical needs of the military through the Task Force Zamboanga, now under the command of Col Juvymax Uy. — Vic Larato
