Presidential aspirant Senator Grace Poe on Friday said if given the chance to become the next President she will give more focus to and address the Mindanao power problem,

Poe stressed there is need to rehabilitate the Agus and Pulangi hydro plants in Lanao to make it eficient and more serviceable,

“Kailangan din po i-rehabilitate natin ang mga power lines at lagyan natin ng mga security dahil binobomba po ng mga lawless elements. Sang-ayon din po ako e-develop ang mga sustainable na additional power tulad po ng Solar power plant, hydro plants and windmills. Ito po ang mga ito ay naka dagdag enerhiya para sa mga mamayan,” Poe pointedout.

Moreover, Poe said it is imperative too to improve the equipment of the Philippine National Police so that they can secure all the progress and development of Mindanao.

She said she is not in favor of the government’s dealing with only one group in the peace efforts in southern Philippines.

“The government should deal and talk to all people, MNLF, MILF, communist rebels, organizations and all stakeholders for peace in Mindanao.

Poe is currently in the region on a campaign swing with Vice Presidentiable Chiz Escudero and senatorial bets Isko Moreno, Sen. Vic Sotto, Ralph Recto, Edu Manzano, labor leader Susan Ople, Rep. Leni Colmenares, Atty. Lorna Kapunan and  Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian of Valenzuela City. — Allen Abastillas
