A young man was shot dead by his grandfather after he ran amok and hacked a woman in Barangay Bunguiao last Friday night.
Killed was Jayvin Enriquez y Columbres, married.

Initial investigation disclosed that Enriquez, wielding a bolo, ran berserk at the house of his grandmother Emerita Columbres around 6:30 p.m.
Enriquez hacked Gerie Dela Cruz y Ramos, 36, married. Columbres’ brother Noel Marcelino who happened to be also the grandfather of Enriquez took his .38 cal. revolver and shot Enriquez. He sustained a bullet wound in the body and died on the spot.

Emerita was also hit by a stray bullet fired by Marcelino.
Marcelino was arrested by operatives of the Sangali Police Station led by Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña during a follow-up operation.

Dela Cruz and Emerita were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Marcelino was detained at the Sangali Police Station while the seized gun was forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for ballistic examination. — Dan Toribio Jr.
