City mobilizes response for Divisoria fire PDF Print E-mail

Mayor Beng Climaco has directed for the immediate response of the local government to address the needs of the families affected by a fire in Divisoria Monday night.

Climaco ordered the immediate intervention and support of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) to see to the needs of the around 50 families – approximately 204 individuals – affected and displaced by the fire.

Affected families are temporarily housed at the Divisoria Covered Court with the barangay seeing to their initial emergency needs. Climaco assured that the    CSWDO will be deployed to do necessary tagging and listing of victims, and provide additional relief services and goods.

Appealing to residents for support and assistance, Climaco said relief goods for the families may be brought and turned over at the Divisoria Covered Court. — Jasmine Mohammadsali
