Authorities exhumed yesterday afternoon the body of an alleged drug addict who was killed and buried inside the Recodo cemetery last Thursday.
No less than Gigi Abdurasid positively identified the body as that of his son Robert Abdurasid, a carpenter. It was exhumed by policemen and personnel of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO).

He was identified through the black sleeveless shirt he was wearing and the tatoo on his chest.
The victim’s body was already in a state of decomposition with visible bullet wounds.

A police report disclosed that Abdurasid was reported missing since Friday.
According to Abdurasid’s four companions, they were having shabu session in a house near the cemetery last Thursday when an unidentified man armed with gun appeared and opened fire at  them.

Abdurasid was hit in the body and died on the spot while his companions scampered in different directions.
Police suspected that when Abdurasid fell on the ground, the gunman dragged his body and buried it inside the cemetery.

The recovery of Abdurasid’s body was made possible through an information given to relatives by one of his companions.
The Ayala police led by Supt. Hado Edding were still investigating the case. — Dan Toribio Jr.
