2 arrested over gunslaying of San Roque man PDF Print E-mail

Two persons were arrested in connection with the killing of a 28-year-old man at Camp Land Drive, Arena Blanco, the other day.

Tetuan Police Station commander Supt. Nonito Asdai disclosed that after Benhur Kipli Abdulgani, a resident of San Roque, was gunned down in arena Blanco last Marche 21, he and his men conducted follow-up operations and based on the testimonies of some witnesses, they found out that it was Basir Gapul Atti was the gunman.

Atti was immediately arrested in his hide-out in Arena Blanco.

During his arrest Atti told the police that he handed the gun to his companion Rasul Hamjalun also residing in Arena Blanco.

Asdai and his men along with Atti went to the house of Hamjalun to get the .45 caliber pistol.However when Hamjalun denied having the gun while he was being interrogated. He instead let the police inspect his house. The lawmen recovered two .38 cal.revolvers with ammunition and a samurai sword.

Before the police left the place, they arrested Hamjalun for possession of undocumented guns.

Further police were informed that Hamjalun threw the .45 caliber pistol outside their house while the lawmen were approaching.

Police later found the .45 caliber pistol on a muddy ground.

A certain Adzhar Musad Sumahaji of the same place was also invited by the police for questioning. – Dan Toribio Jr.
