District 1 House Representative Celso Lobregat yesterday commended the operatives of  local and regional police commands, as well as the military for conducting successful law enforcement operations in at least nine barangays.

Lobregat said police and military forces did well in their combined efforts of neutralizing wanted persons and in serving of search warrants which resulted in the killing of suspected drug pusher, a carnapper and the arrest of many others who possessed firearms and drugs.

The dawn simultaneous raids Wednesday dawn yielded positive results in most areas which the police considered as one of the biggest hauls of firearms and ammunition in their conduct of similar operations in the past, including the arrest of a barangay chairman in District 2 and a policeman in District 1.

Lobregat said that such initiatives withthe objective of thwarting criminalities and diminishing illegal activities is a laudable act which boosts the morale of the public.       “I would like to personally convey my sincerest gratitude to all those operatives who participated in the “one time, big time” operation yesterday dawn, keep up the good work as I will continue to legislate in congress what is beneficial to eradicate these menaces in society,” Lobregat said. — Dexter Yap
