Vice Mayor Abdulbaki “Panther” Ajibon of Isabela City on Friday urged the people to vote wisely in the May 9,2016 general elections.

Ajibon is aspiring for the Isabela City mayoralty post and running under United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) of presidential aspirant Jejomar Binay.

Panther, as he is known in the city, said that Lamitan City — under the leadership of Mayor Rose U. Furigay—  is moving faster than Isabela in terms of progress and development.

“Nauunahan na ang Isabela City ng Lamitan City sa development. I will do my best to make Isabela City as progressive again for the people,” Ajibon said.

Ajibon stressed that in his present position he can not make the city as progressive as it was before.

He explained that the position of  vice mayor does not have adequate power to make the city more developed.

“It needs a strong political will to do it,” he said.

With his experience as a leader and entrepreneurship, Ajibon  is seen as capable to bring progress to the city. His platform of government includes good governance, peace and order, food security, free hospitalization for the poor and scholarships for young children, fight fraud, poverty and criminality.

Ajibon’s running mate is former presidential officer on anti- smuggling Bobby Rey Reynera. — Allen Abastillas
