A 28-year-old man died after he leaped from a Transco tower in Barangay Lunzuran at dawn Saturday.

The suicide was identified as April Don Manuel y Arcillas, single of Block 1, Resettlement Site, Lunzuran.

Chief Insp. Arlan Delumpines, Divisoria Police Station chief, disclosed that Manuel went up the peak of the tower around 2 a.m., then, howling like the legendary ape man Tarzan, jumped to the ground.

Manuel suffered fatal  head injuries and died on the spot.

The incident was discovered around 5 a.m.  after some residents saw Manuel’s body on the ground.

The body was brought to the Villa Funeral Parlor for post mortem examinations.

Manuel’s mother Estrella, 71, told the police that her son had been taking some medicines due to mental illness. – Dan Toribio
