Ten houses of light material were razed in a fire that broke out in the interior of Logoy Grande, Talon-Talon at noon Tuesday.

Initial report from the Bureau of Fire Protection disclosed that the fire was reported before 12 noon and was responded immediately by firemen.

Affected residents told fire investigators that the flames originated from the house of a certain Jocelyn Sanoria who also sustained minor burns in the body.

Some of Sanoria’s neighbors said that the fire could have started from an unattended lighted firewood stove.

Only few of the affected families were able to retrieve their valuables and personal belongings as the flames quickly spread to and consumed their houses.

The fire was totally placed under control in less than an hour. — Dan Toribio
