District 1 congressional aspirant Monsi dela Cruz said if he is successful in his bid, on Day 1 after his oath of office  as the duly elected congressman, he will humbly invite local officials, sit down with them “and see how we can truly help each other for the good of our city and the people as well as other leaders in our community.”

Dela Cruz expressed confidence he can contribute much in development of Zamboangacity with his vast experience in the private sector, especially in education, scholarships, job creation, solution of water problem, electricity, infrastructures, concern for the poor(free lots, livelihood programs and medical outreach) and cooperation and teamwork with government in the payment of taxes and others areas of common concern.

“Your giving me the opportunity to serve would infuse fresh air, hope, our ability to work together for our city and the people,” the servant leader said.

Dela Cruz stressed that he has no agenda of competing with the mayor nor putting down the vice mayor and set of councilors.

“I am committed to work as a team to bring about real progress and development,” he said.

“If we are to move forward, we must learn to work together for the common good not only in words but in the actions we do,” dela Cruz said.

Moreover, dela Cruz said despite policy differences with Congressman Celso Lobregatm in lively exchange of views, in a vibrant democracy, he pledged to respect the office he represents.
