The city government through the Tricycle Adjudication Board (TAB) and the City Treasurer’s Office is now releasing the fuel subsidy under the Pantawid Pasada  for the second batch of motorized tricycle franchisees.

The P150 fuel subsidy forms part of the Pantawid Pasada program or Public Transport Assistance Program of the national government implemented through the Department of Interior and Local Government.

TAB chairman Atty. Norberto Patriarca said the second batch of beneficiaries covers the 504 tricycle operators who complied with their franchise renewal requirement from April to May.

The first set of tricycle operators who completed their requirements from January to April had already received the subsidy since May. As of June, some 2,368 of the 4,600 registered operators claimed the assistance belonging to the first group.

Patriarca said the board is still releasing the assistance to the remaining claimants of the first batch while also attending to the second set of beneficiaries.

He advised all registered tricycle operators to present their franchise receipt to TAB personnel for verification. The release of the subsidy is done through the CTO located at the ground floor of City  Hall. — Richard Aliangan/City Hall PIO
