Men of the Curuan Police Station led by Chief Insp. Ramon Bautista are investigating the recovery of a male fetus that was dumped into an irrigation canal in Curuan Presa last Sunday morning.

Bautista said the lifeless baby was discovered around 7 a.m. by some residents who reported it to the police station for immediate action.

Policemen went to the said place and found the fetus floating in the irrigation water.

Ocular investigation showed that the fetus was a result of an abortion as the placenta and the umbilical cord were still attached to the body.

The fetus was taken to the Gamalinda Funeral Parlor for proper disposition.

Bautista said that investigation was still on going and proper charges will be filed against the culprit. – Dan Toribio
