Calling on all aspiring Zamboangueño athletes! the Summer Basic Sports Learn to Play a Sport program is now accepting applications.

The summer sports program, spearheaded by the City Sports Division, is an annual undertaking that trains school-aged children ages 8 and above on 26 sports and athletic disciplines: archery, arnis, athletics, badminton, basketball, baseball, body building, boxing, chess, dancesport, football, gymnastics, judo, karate-do, lawn tennis, muaythai, pencaksilat, sepaktakraw, softball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling and wushu.

The month-long sports training program is free of charge, and will officially begin on May 1 with an opening program at the City Coliseum.
