Team Colorao is urging the candidates of rival Yellow Team to tell their followers and campaign team to maintain politics with decency and respect, especially in posting their campaign materials in the barangays where they conduct sorties.

This was the call of District 1 incumbent Representative Celso Lobregat of the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino (LDP)-Nacionalista Party(NP) and Adelante Zamboanga Party (AZAP) or more popularly known as “Team Colorao”, after several occasions, the group noticed several cases wherein the postering boys of “Yellow Team” covered the already pasted posters of “Team Colorao” in both districts.

Lobregat said that this malpractice is definitely uncalled for and should be corrected by the candidates themselves as well as educate their followers on the matter of fair and just campaigning.

“Our candidates also spend for their posters and other campaign materials like them as well. Let us respect each other, resulting to such move is a sign of desperation and very unprofessional. It shows what kind of people they are,” Lobregat said.

Earlier, Team Colorao had cautioned their followers not to resort to reprisal and do the same act to the posters of “Yellow Team” saying that they will have to maintain their high level of campaign.

Lobregat recounted the first incident in Barangay Bolong on the start of the campaign wherein the postering team of the opponents covered the pasted campaign materials of incumbent Congresswoman Lilia Nuño and councilor Mike Alavar, it was followed in Sangali wherein the poster of Councilor BG Guingona was also covered by “Yellow Team”, another precedent in District 1 was the same incident in Barangay Baliwasan and Campo Islam wherein the “Team Colorao” posters were also covered by “Yellow Team” posters.

“Era noma tamen ansina, si man-kampanya sila, man kampanya lang buenamente, nomas ya tapa con el mga poster del de amon mga candidato, si querre sila manda gana diila candidato dapat con respeto tamen,” Lobregat said.

Lobregat said that he believes the candidates from the opposing party do not tolerate such act, so they must be the one to caution their followers to refrain from doing such misdeeds for them not to encounter further problems for such violations as well as confrontations with the “Team Colorao” followers in the future.
