A woman and a pedicab driver were killed in two separate gun attacks in Sta. Barbara and Tetuan Thursday night.

Mia Pula, 23, a resident of San Roque, was shot and killed at Marang Drive, Sta. Barbara around 10 p.m. She sustained two bullet wounds in the body and was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Two spent shells of .45 caliber pistol and several drug paraphernalia were recovered at the crime scene.

Police suspected Pula and the gunmen had a shabu session before she was shot.

The gunman left the place before the police arrived.

AldinJadil, 32, a native of Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay and was residing in Mormons Drive in Tetuan was shot to death while he was driving a rented pedicab around 8 p.m.    A bullet wound pierced the back of his head and exited out of his eye.

Police said no one saw the incident because of the darkness .

The live-in-partner of Jadil, told the police that the latter was simply a pedicab driver and she could not  believe he was violently killed. — Dan Toribio
