The Highway Patrol Group-9’s Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Team has seized 43 motorcycles in a “One Time Big Time Operation” recently.

The operation is in relation to the implementation of Republic Act. Bo.  6539 otherwise known as the Anti-Carnaping, Anti- Highway robbery and Anti- Hijacking law and the Traffic Code of the Philippines as well as other special traffic laws.

Sr. Supt. Joel R. Dimaano, HPG-9 chief,  who personally supervised the operation, lauded ZDSPT Chief Sr. Inspector Dexter L. Diones and his men for a job well done.

In his report to Dimaano, Diones said most of the violators committed various offenses like driving without license, not carrying the motorcycle registration, delinquent registration, not wearing helmet and unregistered motorcycles.

Meanwhile, the HPG-9 led by Sr. Supt. Dimaano and all its personnel in Zamboanga Peninsula conducted a team building retreat during the weekend held at the Eriberta Resort at the municipality of Mahayag,  Zamboanga del Sur. The retreat aims to find ways how to improve operations, teamworks, brotherhood, friendship and camaraderie among HPG9 operatives. — Allen Abastillas
