Kidnappers strike once more: Business couple seized in Jolo PDF Print E-mail

Two days after a mother and her son — both US citizens — were kidnapped in Tictabon Island, this city, another abduction took place in Jolo, Sulu involving a couple engaged in appliance trading and money lending 

Western Mindanao Command spokesperson Col. Randolf Cabangbang said Jun Patronal, 50, and his wife Jocelyn Patronal 30, were seized by five gunmen in Bus-Bus, Jolo last Wednesday night..

Cabangbang disclosed that Jun and his wife were inside their rented house located beside the Napocor compound in Barangay Bus-Bus around 8:30 p.m. when five young men armed with guns broke in and seized them.

Witnesses told authorities that the victims were forced to board a red Tamaraw jeepney that sped away towards unknown direction.
Jun is a native of Batangas City. He and his wife were  engaged in the selling of foams, appliances and lending of money in Jolo.

Cabangbang said the police and the military have responded with hot pursuit operations for the possible rescue of the victims and the arrest of the kidnappers. — Dan Toribio Jr.
