Politicians in the municipalities of Tungawan and Payao, Zamboanga have Sibugay signed a peace covenant for peaceful election on May 9, 2016.

The signing of a peace covenant was held at the at Legislative Hall, Barangay Libertad, Tungawan around 9:30 a.m., in coordination with Comelec, DILG LGU, local police led by Insp. Raul Clavecilla, chief of the Tungawan Municipal Police Station

The event was participated by Mayor Abduraup Abison of Tungawan, Col. Nixon M. Fortes, Commander of the army’s 102nd Brigade, Director Arnel Arnufo, Provincial Director, DILG, Zamboanga Sibugay, Sr. Supt. Romulo Cleve Taboso, Provincial Director Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office, Lt. Col. Manuel Darius Resuelo  of the 6th Special Forces Battalion Commander, Heads of different departments from LGUs, and NGOs, mayoralty aspirants Ferdaus W. Radja (LP) and  Carlnan C. Climaco (NP); for Vice Mayor Mrs. Felicidad B. Tayag (LP) and Ivan N. Balano (NP); and for Sangguniang Bayan Mr. Khemar N. Alam (LP), Mr. Muin S. Basa (LP), Venancio C. Cueno (LP), Evelyn A. Salvador (LP), Edwin B. Tayag (LP), Francisco S. Arnuco (LP), Jonathan T. Panes (LP), Shoji A. Serenas (LP), Albin P. Gregorio (NP), Alfredo L. Jamora (NP), Maximo L. Medado (NP), Ernesto S. Segualan (NP), Lorverle S. Caracol (NP), Pablito A. Desoasido (NP), Luvisminda F Enesando (NP), Dansalin A . Sanson (NP), Arvie G. Arcillas (IND), Nathaniel B. Betonio (IND), Dioben P. Clavejo (IND), Wilfredo L. Duran (IND), Roel C. Luna (IND), Fe B. Arambala (IND), Aida I. Bawa (IND), MIrasol M. Cubol (IND), Samer T. Ignacio (IND), Ariel N. Locson (IND), Noel S. Mangubat (IND), Alih T. Unos (IND),UstadzSupian H. Said and Pastor Klen Jay S. Sajulga from Religious Sector.

The activity was focused on the pledge of commitment of all running candidates (Mayoralty, Vice Mayoralty, Sangguniang Bayan).

Signing on the tarpaulin of their Pledge Of Commitment; Hanging of the tarpaulin in front of Municipal Hall; and Buddle fight. This collective effort and collaboration of law enforcers would like to achieve the prosperity in the community and aligned with mandated task to have a secure and fair election 2016.

Similar activity was held in Payao Municipality headed by the local police led by Sr. Insp.  Jerry Presno Labrador with Payao Comelec chairman Judito Martinez.

The signing was held at San Pablo Parish Church Upper Payao, Zambonga Sibugay.

The activity was presided by PPCRV Chairman Reverent Father Rumolo Maypa, participated by local candidates from different political parties.

In addition, Supt. Hajiri J. Langgal, Chief PPCRB ZSBPPO, Major Jose Panes, TG IGSOON 102nd BDE, 1LT Michael PaulCaspe, commanding officer  of 11DRC, attendees serves as the witness during the signing of Peace Covenant.
