2 dead, 2 hurt in Zampen violence PDF Print E-mail

Two people were killed while two others were seriously wounded in separate shooting and stabbing incidents in Zamboanga Peninsula last Tuesday.
Police identified the fatalities as Bernel Galleon, 20, single, of Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte, and Virgilio Tan-awon, 46, married, of San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

Wounded were Greggy Rosal 30, of V-Sagun, and Francis Gregor Cabilao of Pagadian City. The latter sustained stab wounds in the body.
A police report disclosed that Galleon was working at a rubber plantation about 4p.m. when unidentified gunmen shot him repeatedly with .45 caliber pistol. 

In a similar incident, Tan-awon  was with his companions having drinking spree when gunmen surfaced and sprayed them with bullets. Tan-awon was hit with fatal shots, while his companions escaped unhurt.

Rosal was drunk and reportedly creating trouble in his barangay when an unidentified man opened fire and wounding him. Nobody in the said place could tell who shot Rosal.

Cabilao, a college student, was in serious condition after he sustained stab wounds in the body. He was walking on his way home with his classmates when a group of youngsters attacked them.
