Ayoung                 Zamboangueño is one of the agressive players of the Philippine Team that grabbed the championship crown of the 10th South East Asia Basketball Association (SEABA) held in Indonesia April 23-28.

Philippines won the final game against Thailand by 36 points.

One of the RP team’s top scorers was Pedro “Peter” A. Alfaro III, youngest son of Pedro Alfaro Jr., who is himself a former PBA player (Great Taste team) in 70s, and now top official of the Samahang Basketbolista ng Pilipinas (SBP).

Peter is a high school student of San Beda College where he is a mainstay and only Zamboangueño player of the school basketball team.

The RP team that won the SEABA tournament will see action in the FIBA Asia to be held in Iran in July.

Peter led the San Beda team in winning the 7th NCAA championship. He is also the only Zamboangueño in the Philippine team.

The young Alfaro was likewise voted one of the five handsome players in the 2016 Palarong Pambansa held in Bicol April 1-16,

The RP team was unbeatable in the SEABA tournament where it crushed the teams of Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
