Law graduates and law students of the College of Law of  Western Mindanao State University  attended Saturday a seminar  on the application of the Omnibus Election Code for the elections on May 9. It was held at a local hotel.

One of the lecturers Councilor Kim Elago told the participants that it is very important that law students  and graduates of law course know how to apply the provisions of the law on election.

He said the students and graduates should know how to raise a protest in any precinct manned by the Board of Election Officers with the Poll Clerk and One Member.

Elago said that  a law student or law graduate should know the operations of the Vote Counting Machine ( VCM ) so that he/she can easily know how to raise a protest during the conduct of the election presided and mandated by the Commission on Elections.

Elago explained that a para-legal should know the political party that  he/ she is serving if it is dominant party, major party or minor party  so that he/she can get the election returns. — Allen Abastillas
