Thousands flocked to  the Enriquez Sports Complex (Grand Stand) Saturday for the youth-initiated rally in support of the presidential bid of Senator Grace Poe.

The rally was organized by the Kabataan-POE, a youth and student-led advocacy group who has established membership bases in all major regions and key cities nationwide.

The rally or otherwise dubbed as the “Convergence” brought together Zamboangueños from different walks of life to make a public declaration thatSen. Grace Poe remains to be the only candidate fit to lead this country.

KPOE and the rest of the groups present during the rally delivered a strong message that the principle of human dignity is paramount and that it should be upheld always over Davao’s practice of extra-judicial killings in purging crimes in the country. Further, the supporters made a united position that life should be preserved at all cost and that reformative justice remains to be the best option still.

The convergence was graced by some known personalities supportive of the candidacy of Senator Grace Poe, to wit: The Sa[bakuta; JonaViray and Epi Quizon. Meanwhile, comedian Boobai and a Manila-based DJ hosted the event. Also cited in the convergence were TUCP Vice President Jose Suan and Congressional Candidate for the District 2, Mannix Dalipe.

The convergence was preceded by a motorcade which was participated by no less than 1500 habal-habal drivers and other motorists and subsequently culminated with a candle lighting ceremony by a larger group occupying the grandstand.
