Congressman-elect Mannix Dalipe on Tuesday thanked the people of District 2 for giving him the trust and confidence in the May 9 elections.

Dalipe said Congresswoman Lilia Nuño was a worthy and respectable opponent as he called on the latter to value the choice of their constituents.

“Ulvida ya kita el campanya para puede ya kita mobe adelante y trabaha para el bien del maga gente,” Dalipe said.

He vowed to be the voice of the people in the House of Representatives and to work alongside with Mayor Beng Climaco.

Dalipe promised to continue all ongoing worthy projects left by Nuño like the P45 million Lamisahan bridge and others.

Meanwhile, based on the unofficial latest count by the Comelec, Climaco leads with landslide votes against rival Mario Yanga for the mayoralty post.

Vice mayor Cesar Iturralde defeated closest rivals Mel Sadain and Noning Biel and Congressman Celso Lobregat of District 1 won over opponent Monsi Dela Cruz.

The elected councilors for District 1 are Councilors Rudy Bayot, PinPin Pareja, Cesar Jimenez, Charlie Mariano, Bong Atilano, Myra Paz Abubakar, Rudy Lim and Boday Cabato.

San Roque barangvay chairman Joselito Macrohon and Calarian barangay chairman El King Omaga were on number nine and 10 respectively.

Councilors elected in District 2 are: Councilors Kim Elago, Mike Alavar, BG Guingona, Rommel Agan, Jimmy Villaflores, Jihan Edding, Teodyver Arquiza and Lilibeth Nuño.

Councilors Roel Natividad and Percival Ramos took the numbers nine and 10 positions respectively. — KS
