Valesco graces 28th K of C installation PDF Print E-mail

Councilor Gerky Valesco was the guest speaker during the 28th installation of council officers and induction of service personnel of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Eusebio Salvador Council 8330 held last Sunday.

Valesco, a member of KofC of Santa Maria since 2002 extolled the knights and the members of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate (DMI), to stand by the church and stand for the clergy amid the present controversy.

“We should always remember since time immemorial, the Church has encountered, and will always encounter criticisms, and even persecutions. In many religious accounts and teachings. Persecutions help purify individuals, it helps people get united, and it even strengthen us in our resolve to serve God and His people,” Valesco said.

Valesco also personally congratulated the council officers for Columbian Year 2011-2012. The organization is spearheaded by Grand Knight Nelso Basa with Sir Knight Arturo Tolentino (Deputy Grand Knight), SK Jose Balenton (Financial Secretary), SK Mario Cabanlit (Chancellor), SK Tomas Guevarra (Recorder), SK Tomas Eijansantos (Treasurer), SK Modesto Hetutua (Advocate), Sir Wilfredo Sedillo (Warden), SK Eutemio Marcial (Trustee 1), SK Samuel Caballero (Trustee 2), Bro. Felicisimo Gadin (Trustee 3), Sir Jomari Guanzon (Inside Guard), Bro. Benjamin Santiago (Outside Guard), and SK Juan Tantoco (Lecturer).

The chaplain of the Father Eusebio Salvador Council 8330 is Rev. Fr. Moises Cuevas. The service program directors are SK Danny Macansantos, SK Alejandro Navato, SK Rudy Esperat, SK Tony Delos Reyes, SK Saldy Francisco, SK Marcelo dela Cruz, SK Herminigildo Canlas. The committee chairmen; Sir Jun Iglesias, Sir Aljeffrey Navato, Sir Roseller Enriquez, SK Jomari Guanzon, Bro. Ben Santiago, Bro Arce Fabian, Sir Pilargerrino Acosta, SK Johnny Pavillar and SK Jimmy Tandoc, Sk Tomas Guevarra, and SK Chu Fernandez.

“Let us stand by the Church and let the Knights of Columbus be a beacon of strength in the midst of all these trials,” Valesco said.
This year’s theme is “I am my brothers’ keeper”. The master of ceremonies during the occasion Sunday was Sir Knight Danny Macansantos. (PR-KofC 8330)
