A man was killed after his motorcycle rammed at dawn yesterday the center road barrier in Boalan where a canal project was being implemented.

James Delgado y Ramilano, 35, of Culianan, sustained skull fractures.

It was gathered that Delgado was on his way home coming from Putik around 1 a.m. when he failed to notice the detour portion of the highway, that sent his motorcycle crashing on the barrier.

Delgado was thrown to other side of the canal construction due to the strong impact. He died on the spot.

The body was brought to a funeral parlor for post mortem examination.

Many motorists have observed that the ongoing canal project in the middle of the highway is hazardous as the construction firm used the center concrete barrier as the guide of the detour portion for the vehicles without visible warning devices especially during night time. – Dan Toribio
