Fourteen houses in Mangga, Bolong and five in Bunguiao suffered from flood last Wednesday afternoon.
Sangali Police Station chief, Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña said the two places went underwater around 4 p.m. after rains lashed the hinterland in the city’s east.

Acuña said the occupants of the affected houses were reported safe during the flood.
He said the spillway in Bunguiao was impassable due to the high level of water.

The affected residents of Bolong said that some of them were able to leave their houses and some remained inside during the flood.
Government agencies were still assessing the damages to properties and agricultural crops brought about by the flood.

Some parts of Bolong highway also went under water and several motorcycles were temporarily stranded.

Similar situation was reported in Quiniput where more than 90 families were affected by flood.

Personnel of the City Social Welfare and Development were dispatched to the affected barangays to extend relief assistance to the residents. — Dan Toribio Jr.
