Mayor Beng Climaco on Monday reminded national government agencies undertaking the various road and housing packages under the Zamboanga City Roadmap to Recovery and Reconstruction (Z3R) on the timelines set for the completion of the project.

Climaco, who heads the Local Inter-Agency Committee said the National Housing Authority (NHA) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) should fast track and effect turnover of the projects by September or even before when the new administration takes over.

She expressed concern that a new administration is taking over come June 30 when new policies might be introduced with regards to the implementation of the project. “We don’t want our people to be left behind.”

The DPWH reported a completion rate of 82.25% in as far as the road and drainage projects in Z3R areas are concerned. The remaining percentage depends on the connection of utilities such as water and light.
