A young man was shot and wounded by his companion in Mampang last Monday night.

The victim, Ferdinand Amping, sustained pellet wounds in the leg and was taken to the hospital.

Amping was shot by Dexter Pioquinto who escaped after the incident.

A sketchy report disclosed that Amping and Pioquinto engaged in a heated argument that led to the shooting.

It was learned that amid their argument, Pioquinto pulled out an improvised shot gun (sumpak) and shot Amping in the leg.

When the victim fell, Pioquinto hurriedly left the pace.

The victim was rushed to the hospital by helpful residents.
