A farmer was hacked to death by a 38-year-old man and his son at Purok 5, Muti last Sunday afternoon.

Police identified the fatality as Oswaldo Graciano y Fernandez, 50, married. He sustained multiple hack wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Police identified the suspects as Maadil Abdul, 38 and his son Orren Abdul y Balanoy, 16.

Initial investigation showed that Graciano and his friend ,a certain Richard, were drinking at the former’s house around 5 p.m when the father and son appeared and without any word punched Richard, prompting  Graciano to pacify.

Richard was able to run but Maadil turned his ire on Graciano and stabbed him with a broken bottle while his son hacked the victim several times.

The attackers then left the place after the incident while the body  was taken to Cristino Paragas Memorial Hospital for post mortem examination.

Men of the Curuan police station have launched ahot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspects. – Dan Toribio
