A total of 78 PNP personnel and non-uniform personnel underwent a surprise random drug test last Sunday at Camp Abendan in Mercedes.

Police Regional Information Officer Supt. Roger Alabata disclosed that the activity was a part of the internal cleansing “contra droga”.

The random drug test was a project of PRO9 in coordination and assisted by the R2, R1, RCLO9, RPCRD and RSTU9.

Initially 63 PNP personnel underwent the drug test while four non-uniform personnel undergoing Police Community Affairs and development Course and 41 uniform personnel who are undergoing CADET at RSTU9.

Twenty six were absent during the activity while one personnel was in court duty and three were pregnant.

All those policemen absent during the drug test will be asked to explain their absence. – Dan Toribio
