Mayor Beng Climaco urges Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative member-consumers to attend and actively participate in the 41st Annual General Membership Assembly set on Sunday, June 19 at 1pm at the City Coliseum in Tetuan.

The activity, she said is the best time for the public to air their grievances and concerns related to the operations of the cooperative, the lone power supplies to Zamboanga City.

The power outages, the utilization of the Zamcelco-acquired generator sets, the need for effective and efficient communication/information services as well as accessibility to the public in times of power outages are among the issues that need to be brought to the attention of the general assembly, according to the mayor.

Electrical pilferages in Mariki, Rio Hondo and Sta. Barbara and other Z3R areas which are not yet connected with power supply including power fluctuation should also be looked into by the assembly.

Zamcelco has issued invitations to all member-consumers to attend the 41st AGMA meeting on Sunday at 1pm at the City Coliseum in Tetuan. Registration will start at 6am.

Member-consumers are advised to bring their Zamcelco ID cards or any valid ID and no proxy will be allowed.

The AGMA is a yearly undertaking of the Zamcelco where crucial issues are discussed and deliberated. The agenda for Sunday include the reading and approval of the minutes of the previous annual meeting, presentation and consideration of reports of the officers, manager and committees, unfinished business and the updates on the proposed Investment Management Contract (IMC).  — Sheila Covarrubias
