Land Transportation Office-9 Director Aminola P. Abaton is part of the team at LTO Central Office that will submit the transition report on June 30, 2016 to the newly appointed of LTO chief, Asst. Secretary Edgar Galvante.

Abaton told newsmen that with the transition teamwork, they are consolidating all reports from the different regional offices nationwide.

He said the new LTO chief will also observe and see the performance of each regional director nationwide before he will conduct a reshuffle.

On the other hand, Abaton disclosed that the LTO Central Office is now studying on how to offset the payment of plate number by motorvehicle owners  who already paid previously but did not receive an any.

“We are waiting for the instruction and guidelines on the issuances of the plate number. Wala pa kasing nangyari na refund sa LTO to the motorvehicle owners ever since.  Offsetting is favorable pa,” Abaton said.

Meanwhile, Law Enforcers Division Chief Allan Macabangkit reported to Abaton that his office has collected to P2,918,160 from law enforcement against traffic violators from January to May 2016.

Macabangkit  reminded the public  that “Oplan Balik Eskwela “ is only to help and assist traffic to the different schools in the region.

“We are here to help decongest traffic. Hindi po manghuhuli na sinasabi ng iba at hindi alam ang  oplan balik eskwela. The oplan will end on Friday,” Macabangkit said.

Driver License Renwal Center in Yubengco Mall Officer in Charge Hafsa Taha- Aspi advised the public that the center is open  for renewal from Monday to Friday. — Allen Abastillas
