548 PNP recruits pass PRO-9 neuro exam PDF Print E-mail

Out of 816 police applicants at the Police Regional Office-9 only 548  passed the Neuro Psychiatric examination  conducted by the Regional Health Service 9.

Senior Inspector Rachel Vicente Chief Neuro Psychiatric Office said that most of those who failed the examinations have low Intelligence, Emotional and Spiritual quotient as well as personality profile and coping skills.

Supt. Abita Mates, chief, Regional Health Service 9, said the 548 applicants who passed the Neuro Psychiatric examination will undergo Physical, Dental and Medical examinations. The quota for the police recruitment’s  training this second semester is only 500.  The remaining 48 applicants, if they will pass the medical, physical and dental examination, will be reserved for the next recruitment.

Mates said that once the  examination will be completed they will take their oath of office into training proper. They will be trained  for Basic Police Training Course.    Followed by Field Training Exercise and Special Counter Insurgency Operations Training ( SCOUT ), their total training  coversone year and thereafter they will be assigned with the Regional Public Safety Battalion.

After serving the battalion for one or two years they can be downloaded to the different police stations. — Allen Abastillas
