A truck helper died while his companion was in critical condition after they were hit by live wire while travelling along the road at Purok Santan, Napolan in Pagadian City last Saturday.

Julieto Pancho Jr. died on the spot, while Amon Bahunsua, 21, was in critical condition at the hospital.

A police report disclosed that the truck owned by Nerio Alcano and driven by Ricardo Mendang with truck helpers Pancho and Bahunsua was heading for Napolan proper to haul junk materials wqhen the upper part of the vehicle hit a live wire of the Zamsureco.

Pancho tried to push the wire using a piece of wood but he was electrocuted and his companion suffered injuries from electric shock.

Pancho died on the spot due to high degree burns. – Dan Toribio
