5,323 attend Zamcelco’s 41st AGMA PDF Print E-mail

A total of 5,323 attended the 41st Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) of the Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative (Zamcelco) Sunday afternoon at the Zamboanga City Coliseum also known as Mayor Vitaliano D. Agan Coliseum.

The member-consumers came from the city’s 98 barangays. The attendance was a little higher compared to last year’s 5,106.

Engr. Edgardo F. Ancheta, Zamcelco OIC manager, said that during the AGMA, the office presented the annual report of the cooperative and the update on the Investment Management Contract which is still being studied by the National Electrification Administration.

Some of the questions raised during the assembly were the sale of the electric cooperative’s property located at Barangay Putik, the cooperative’s system loss, and the Investment Management Contract (IMC).

The city’s top officials also attended the assembly including reelected Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, District 1 Congressman-elect Celso L. Lobregat, and District 2 Congressmanelect Manuel Jose Dalipe.

“Ta pidi kita gracias ya supporta sila by attending the AGMA donde ya sale sila mas informao na operation del diatun cooperativa.” Ancheta said.

The city’s electric cooperative has a total of 120,419 members in the city’s 90 barangays. — R.G. A A. Go
