The maintenance of the city’s peace and order is a responsibility of all not only of the police and Task Force Zamboanga.
This was the message of District 2 Rep. Erbie A Fabian when asked to comment on the recent wave of crime activities in the city.

Fabian expressed apprehension over the rise in criminality of late resulting in a spate of bloody shooting incidents and the kidnapping of a mother and son Gerfa and Kevin Lunsmann in a remote island in the city’s east coast.

The east coast solon conferred with the city’s two top peace officers in the persons of city police director S/Supt Edwin de Ocampo and Task Force Zamboanga Chief Col. Buenaventura Pascual over the prevailing peace and order condition  of the city last Tuesday while taping an episode of ‘Cuentas Claras’, at the EBAF studios along MCLL Highway.

Rep. Fabian said he was assured by the duo, the police and the military are pursuing leads round the clock in an effort at achieving early resolution of the cases.

Fabian called anew on the general public to cooperate in the peace and order campaign by helping authorities with information that could help in the resolution of crime cases.

At least three shooting incidents broke out last week which resulted in the violent gunslaying of victims.
The abduction of Dr. Lunsmann, a veterinarian and a US citizen and her son in Tictabon jolted the city anew raising fears of a fresh way of abductions here.
